The tippmann sniper really isn't that good. The J&J is definitly (sp.) better. Go with 14" because the added barrel length doesn't improve your accuracy at this point.

Barrrel Length does not = Distance. All straight barrels shoot the same distance. I would go with a Lapco Bigshot.

No, all Straight barrels shoot the smae distance if chronoed the same. The maximum effective reange of any straight barrel is 75ft.

^^Besides the Flatline, the only other barrel is the BT Apex. It's also a good barrel, and is worth a good look. |

But niether of those two barrels have decent accuracy at range. The ball loses velocity at the same rate as a normal barrel, so the chances of gettinga break at maximum range is slim to none.

J&J ceramic, 14". The Tippmann sniper barrels suck. All Tippmann barrels have less than acceptable inner diameters and finishes. Tippmann makes great, durable guns, but they're barrels suck.

The Tippmann Barrel are junk. The J&J is a good barrel and I was once happy tp own one before upgrading to a Lapco bigShot. If your able, but a Lapco Bigshot. Its dead on accurate and light weight! The sizes doesn`t matter. The longer the barrel is, the more consistancy you may lose in air/co2. I use a 14". but a 10" for you would be fine. Remember, the sniper gimic in paintball doesn't fly so well as guns are not accurate or long firing enough to use scopes or long barrels. |

get the 14" J&J ceramic, instead of the Tippmann sniper barrel. Now if you put the Lapco Bigshot as one of your options, then I would opt for that barrel vice the J&J and the Tippmann. |

but a 10% chance of a ball break with a flatline at 175 feet is better than a 0% chance of a ball even getting that far with a strait barel |
