Hey guys, new here (cheer cheer), and I got a question for you.
So I bought an A5 about two weeks ago and its been working great. I've field stripped it a couple times, but now it gave me a problem. Whenever I cock the gun and fire, no ball is shot, or it rolls out. But more importantly, the gun doesnt stay cocked. I have to keep re-cocking it everytime I want to fire. Its not like the ball is actually being 'shot' either, its more of a roll. Any help would be tremendous. Thanks |

Download the manual if you don't have it, and look at the exploded drawing. Now look for the Ball Latch. See if you have it in the correct way. I'm guessing you have it in backwards. |

yep, definitely air or ball latch.
Make sure you are using a full tank, and make sure the latch isn't warn or in backwards. If it has been in backwards, it may be warn by now :P so put it in right and try, and see if you need a new one. |

No, it's not the air at all. I just filled an entire 20oz tank. Everytime I unscrewed the tank, air shot out (I think worse than usual).
I'm thinking that there may be something wrong with the part where the CO2 hooks up. I don't hear anything leaking, and I screwed the tank on really tight. Thanks for the help so far though guys, I appreciate it! |

Sounds like a bad tank o-ring to me. Look at it closely. I'll bet you've got a small nick or tear. One came with the gun. Replace it & put a couple of drops of oil on it. Spread it all over the o-ring with your finger. Now put 3 or 4 drops into the ASA (where you screw the tank in), take your barrel off, cock the gun, screw your tank in and dry fire it 4 or 5 times. This spreads oil throughout the marker & takes care of all the internal o-rings. You took off the barrel to prevent any excess oil from getting into it. Hey guys problem solved.
The spring that goes with the cocking handle popped out while I was putting the gun back together. Hooray |
