I'm not too much in with the paintball lingo so I may be using the wrong words with the wrong parts so I'm sorry if this is confusing. My setup is a 98 custom w/ flatline barrel and a stock and 20 oz CO2.
Whats wrong is that it's pretty much (as much as I can describe it as) on "single shot". Every time I fire the "bolt" that cocks back and shoots forward to shoot the ball shoots forward, shoots the ball, but doesn't make it's way completely back to the cocked position so it won't let me fire it again untill I pull it back a little more and it clicks. If I need to clarify something just ask me. That's about it. Thanks for your help. (I oiled everything up, that didn't work. I also checked all the O-rings. I did everthing I could think of and it still shoots "single shot".) Edited by SMASH - 16 April 2006 at 5:50pm |

Well if it were my A5 i'd say check the bolt spring. Since it's not I'm at a loss. Seems like something is out of place though. Maybe a spring not seated correctly or the guide bar isn't in. *Just helpin' keep this bumped so maybe someone will notice it*

First off, make sure you havent overtightened the screws that hold the body halves together.
Second, if that doesnt help, I would take the gun completely apart, split the halves open and polish them (On the inside of course). Some reciever halves from the factory have a bit of oversprayed paint on the inside that can wonk things up. Get some steel wool and go to town on the inside of the halves where the internals move. It should fix your problem, and give you better performance and gas effeciency to boot. Dont go super-crazy, just work at it until any oversprayed paint is gone from the channel where the internals goes in, and until its nice and shiny and smooth. Dont polish too much at the very front where the barrel adapter sits, or the adapter might end up too loose. Edited by Enos Shenk - 17 April 2006 at 12:24am |

Custom Pro's have factory "polished" internals (i.e. no overspray) :)
check the valve bolts. if none of this works, a new valve MAY be necesarry. |
