Since Im getting rid off all my gear and downgrading I decided to go with an A-5.

Im thinking about going with this setup here. This is basically all I want.

What I want?

Since im rarely playing I want something easy to shoot, that can handle CO2, and I dont have to worry about a loader.

Since Im eventually selling my airtank, WGP pack, worrgas, reloader, halo, gear bag, I just want something simple. I dont want to tote around these huge bags every time I go out. I just want to be able to grab my gun and go play. I dont want to worry about a loader, thats the main reason for the A-5.

Well let me know what you guys think...

Thats a pretty good set up for rec play, and won't need much mantence, but i still think your crazy for getting rid of all your nice gear, and down grading.

When you play once a year and watch the value of your gear go down youll understand.

Not to mention i spend about 20 bucks on batteries, not everyone around here fills air, and the fact that I shoot too much paint :)

Go with a VSC phantom. Man do i want one of those as a backup/plinker when i dont feel like using my dm5.

Although, if youre set on the A5, nothing wrong with that.

try and get a refurbished a-5 instead of that package.  Unless you're set on it, I would think more about the stock and flatline.

Go with the refurbished A-5 from eBay. Trust me, it's like brand new or even better when it comes since it was inspected by tippmann people and will not have defects. And if your worried about scratches or blemishes there will not be one mark on the black. I bought a refurbished A-5 on ebay. It came with the gun, hopper, gun oil, squeege, barrel condom, hex keys, tools, and a FULL tippmann factory warranty for $170.000. Then with all the money I saved I bought a BT AK-47 barrel. The gun is amazing. I know this is sounding repetitive but trust me, you can NOT go wrong buying refurbished. Even though it was refurbished it worked 100% perfect in performance and looks. My friend got a brand new A-5 for $218 and we took both our guns apart and could not tell the difference.

I suggest the Ak-47 barrel for looks and performance but if you want the flatline that also works great since my friend that bought the A-5 for $218 also got the flatline with it.

Hope this helped, if you need anything else just ask...

I completely understand what your talking about. I've been paintballin' for long time and I've always loved the rugged simple stuff. I don't have to rely on spraying paint like crazy. I also hate anything that needs a battery. I use a 98C with 14" PRO-1 barrel, Tapco-T6 car stock, Turbo Loader, Palmers Stab, and remote. Sometimes when we have new people out at the field they see the 98C and think I just started paintballin'. Then we get in the woods and the game starts. Suprise! To quote my own sig-I've never seen anyone own the woods because of what marker they use. See you in the woods.

Good point. Well i ended up just buying it new just for my own good. I didnt want to worry about anything I wanted there to be a warranty.

So i got an a-5 sniper kit with was egrip and JCS double trigger. Yea its a double trigger and electric but its all ive used for the past couple of years.....

Karnivor, Timmy, E Orracle, Shocker

All electric triggers so now i only have to worry about one 9v.
