The gun I am wondering about is my setup of:

A-5
Flatliner
Standard Expansion Chamber
12oz Co2
Response Trigger

When using my reponse trigger it works great, it shoots very fast when it is tuned just right, I had to get an expansion chamber so my gun didn't freeze condensation on the outside of it (it was kinda cool actually but used co2 crazy fast.)

My problem is that even with an expansion chamber, my response trigger stops working very well after my tank is abou half empty, is this just the inconsitency's of co2?

I don't know if one can do anything about this, if it is the problem of co2 I don't think there is much I can do, because I borrowed my friends HPA 5000PSI (why he got a tank w/ that much PSI is beyond me since no one in my city will fill it above 4000PSI anyway) and the response trigger shot like crap, even with a single trigger I could shoot faster then the response trigger on HPA, and trust me, I went through like 100CI of compressed air trying to tune it.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

When you shot with the HPA did you remove the x-chamber? That might be
the problem.

The response trigger does not use any air. It appears you go through more...because the longer/faster strings you shoot, the more CO2 you use. There is no reason for any change in anything with HPA (except for the expansion chamber). HPA is merely another means of getting 800 PSI into your gun.

Are you sure the HPA tank didn't have a low pressure reg on it?

And what kind of x-chamber do you have? Some are WAY more constrictive than others. The X-core is the best for keeping liquid out, but still free flowing if you use HPA on occassion. The ACI will be pretty constrictive if you run HPA through it. I'm guessing "standard expansion chamber" refers to the GTA one. This expansion chamber is pretty much known to be pretty constrictive...as well as pretty ineffective in keeping liquid CO2 outta your gun.

Without the response trigger I can get 600+ shots on a 9 oz co2 with it on I have to hve a 12oz to get 600+ shots, and the RT becomes ineffective after 400+ shots (even if I let the gun sit for a while or whatever) and I did not even have an X chamber in my possession when I tested the HPA tank, likley it was a low pressure reg on it but I don't know.

The X chamber I got I have no idea I just got it from local shop, it was the same one I see when i look up tippmann a-5 expansion chamber though, it dosn't seem to have very many chambers though, when I opened it, I think it has maybe 3-4 at most, with one very large one on the top.

My main question here is if the RT supposedly dosnt take more c02 then w/out why does it become ineffective when my c02 is low (but my gun's FPS only drops by 10-25) even after letting it warm up.

Its because of the differences in tank pressure.
A-5
E-Grip
JCS Dual Trigger
DOP X-CORE 8 stage x-chamber
Lapco Bigshot 14" Beadblasted

Optional setup:
R/T
Dead on Blade trigger
