i fail to understand wtf motivates you to spew words and phrases anymore. yes, bush told dell to monitor some nerd's key input. it's all one big conspiracy to stop terrorists, end illegal file sharing and minimize the porn industry all in one step... now before you jump off the deep end because i appear to be supporting homeland security, i was rather pissed off when my sinus medication and my father's cardiac medication was opened by some tard with a double digit IQ without my knowledge last time i flew. i don't know what the hell they thought Zyrtec was, but i checked my bags with the airline and had expectations they would not be opened or tampered with. much less half-assed put back together with a few pills rattling around outside the bottle. Jesus Christ. Do you not value your privacy? I'm sure that "nerd" isn't the only one with this thing on his keyboard. Nor are the terrorists, pirates, or kiddy porn husslers. Care about the 5th amendment much? You freakin un-American fascist?! I do not understand wtf makes YOU and people like you spew breath anymore.
*Calms* What happens when the word "criminal" takes on a new meaning and suddenly all of this info that was fine for them to take from you is turned against you? Well, I guess you enough of a sheep where that danger is slim, but for me and people that do value our privacy and our rights to have differing opinions without persecution, it's there. Conspiracy theory though huh? Well, how about the fact that they, be it Dell or the Government, has put a keylogger on unsuspecting consumers computers. Rather they use the info for good or evil or to take up harddrive space, that's not right. It's wrong and illegal anyway you look at it. But, it's late, and I might as well not waste my logic on you. |

ok so only a citizen has the ability to invoke the fifth now ryan? what about the company's right to privacy? if the government were to say "hey, here's what dell was doing *slams big stack of paper down*" without a thorough investigation, i'm pretty sure a lawyer's child in 3rd grade could get it dismissed if the case were brought to court. yes i value my privacy, did you not read my post at all? now about you spewing words and phrases, i suggest you read it back to yourself next time and think hey, does this even make sense or apply to the topic? not to mention that is some pretty damning evidence there against the claim for that to have been a keylogger found in his laptop. but hey, you think what you want ryan, just don't count on getting my vote if you run for public office, k? |

What? The company's right to privacy? Due process you mean? Anyway, I posted before you did the edit, but you can't support secret keyloggers and say you value you privacy just because you didn't like getting your bags searched. And I did kind of fly off the handle, I'm all insomniatic right now, sorry, but this kind of crap really angers me. If it's not true, good, I'm happy, the world's not quite so bad. Now if they could just stop tracking my phone calls and internet searchs....

How can you get upset about the government having a log of your phone calls? The phone companies have a log of everyones phone calls. Whats the difference? If it would keep me safer I dont give a crap. I have nothing to hide and by seeing where im calling cant and wont get me in any kind of trouble. If everyone wants to say oh my privacy is being invaded.....move to any other country and see the difference..... |

PI: LOL, nice....
Simma: It may be as hard for you to understand why I'm upset about it as it is for me to understand why you're not upset about it. The whole, "I have nothing to hide" is somewhat valid. It's just the fact that the fact that you may or may not have something to hide shouldn't matter. I don't have anything to hide either but I still don't want the government to violate my constitutional rights to make sure of that. The laws are there for a reason and one of the strongest foundations of this nation is the principle that no one is above them. So, that's point one: it's simply illegal and contrary to the ideals and foundations of America. I could go one point to point about the fact that it's a slippery slope, and that it's allowing throwing off the balance of power and checks and balances system and what not, but just the fact that it's unconstitutional should be enough for people to care about it. Whatever, enjoy Big Brother. I might just have to take your invitation and get the hell outa Dodge one of these days though, that is if I ever think this place has gotten to the point that it's too far gone to save from people like you and the ones who have been so successful in hoodwinking them. I kind of have a problem with this. There are millions of ways to keep you safe, les are practical, and few are good. Martial Law seems to be the best example for this. |
