Custom 98 Model, the internal workings are different than I have ever seen so far. Bolt sear has a push spring instead of a pull spring. Internal parts on the bolt are plastic instead of metal. Externally the trigger guard is slightly different than the model of about 2003/2004. Am curious if this is the new ACT version. There is nothing externally that indicates if this is a special model of any kind. If this is a newer model I'm not impressed. The trigger sear is rounding and the bolt is starting to show wear. The gun does not appear to be very old. I haven't found a manual online showing this different operation. I acquired the gun secondhand and don't have a manual that came with it. Need help in identification of the gun model.

I just bought my 98pro in march and it has the push spring and plastic internals on the bolt.. but those have nothing to do with the ACT.

the newer 98 customs have the custom pro internals, which is the newer sear / sear spring, and also different barrel threads than the older 98 customs. as far as the sear / bolt wear, you can always take a file to them, and re-sharpen the corners.

The newer 98C's have the same sear setup as the A-5, as do the C-Pro's
