well, a stock A5 isnt going to give you speed unless you have the R/T or for electronics, Egrip Ion is $50 less than the A5 stock so you can get ups for it to make it the same price
and stay away from lower end spyders |

until you account for HPA and a fast hopper. with those accounted for, with the cheapest possible new products, that is 200 for ion, 60 for egg (which suck anyway) and 60 for hpa. $310 the a-5 has the hopper, and a cheap co2 tank will do fine. 250 for a-5, 15 for co2 tank. $265, unless you really want the e-grip, than add another 100, unfortunately. its up to you really. for the price of an ion its an awesome marker. i upped from a 98c to
the ion a while ago and the only regret i had was not doing it sooner.
i love tippmann but if u want a solid marker that is electronic
and easy to keep running theres nothing like an ion. if ur
looking for speed id take an ion of an A5 anyday. its a good gun for
woodsball and speedball which is another reason i like it so
much.

ions break down... they're also not efficiant (at all)... and worst of all, you'd be supporting smart parts... i'd recommend getting the newer 98c with egrip and act... that should do you good...

well i meant to put dowm the egrip a5... and i already have the HPA tank... and i can probably grab it off ebay.. that wut my dad did.. his gun is great.. but it came with RT... wich is his only regret.. he says if he could have done it again he would have gone with the egrip... my friend is probably going to buy it off him tho.. he wants a5 with rt... i want an electronic
ya my dads tank was a smartparts.. he had some trouble, as in the regulator failed and sent the full 2500 psi into macro line, witch burst, dang near broke his hand, (stunned it for about 5 min. and left it swollen for a few days) he couldn't work as well for that time either.. he is an IT.. and typeing was, well lets say not good for him....but with that new 98c with egrip and act it doesnt come with cyclone feed does it (or a hopper that can keep up with egrip) .. ya i kno only $60.. but that total is about what i could get an a5 for... and besides my current 98 is compatible with the egrip.. just dosnt have ACT.... and i have yet to see tippmann sell the act sepperate.... and im not interested in buying another 98c... so the a5 looks like what im going for... ive read up some more on the ion and mr2, and they look like a bear to maintain internally.... plus neither sound near as reliable... ill probably just ebay it and send it in to tippmann for a maitnience...Edited by Crazy Rusher - 03 July 2006 at 12:37am |

if you want reliable, than the a-5 is the way to go. maybe you can buy your dad's, pull the r/t, and put in an e-grip. that would save a heckuva lot of cash.

^^ agreed. but he said that his dads R/T blows through air.
If you want that to prevent that from happening in yr gun and you are using co2. get a regulator. they are WELL worth the money. my friend uses the tippmann expansion chamber. but a lot of people on here will suggest the palmer system |

98% of ion owners think ions are better than any high end gun. If you would like to own these idiots put this in your sig. |
