Please don't just say J&J or Lapco... thats what people usally say, but i wanna know how thier different? I was looking at the Razzor then the Ceramic and last i looked at Lapco (a little more expencive then J&J or Razzor). And is the J&J acshually made of ceramic glass?

the ceramic is different because it will clean itself just by firing shots through it. not sure about accuracy differences though.

Is the J&J made of ceramic glass? Won't that break easly? Or chip? If it's fragile i don't want that. And the Lapco is more expensive. I'm going towards the Razzor 14".

Yes, as the varrel name states, the JJ ceramic is indeed...ceramic. And yes, if you smash it against a rock, it will break. I would go with the LAPCO Bigshot.

No way, the name is deceptive, it is actually 6061 aluminum with a ceramic coating. I will just dent if you smash it against a rock. I give the razzor and ceramic a 9, and the lapco a 10. Have all 3.

Not true, the coating inside is ceramic. The barrel itself is aluminum. Edit- Hah, Pattison posted that before me. Oh well. Edited by hybrid-sniper - 26 July 2006 at 2:45pm |

Ok, I don't think i want the J&J if the inside might break, I don't think i want the Lapco it's expensive (my budget is very low (i'm 13 and mow lawns)), so that leaves the Razzor 14", someone look at it and tell me if it is any good? http://www.bansheepaintball.com Click barrels then scroll down a bit, it has some test done on it that says it's accuret or sumthin, banshee paint ball it the closest pro shop to me.

the inside wont break, its just coated also it isnt ceramic like they make pots and stuff with. its much stronger they use a ceramic on the underside of the space shuttle to withstand the heat. |

This is what you are looking for. I don't think it matters which barrel you get. Razzor and ceramic are quieter, bigshot is probably more efficient. |

Plenty of people have the ceramic and are greatly satisfied. It will not break on you, unless you decide to cut it or something with a saw, or purposely slam it on a rock, but that can happen to all barrels.

i own both and J&J rated me much better. chopped balls dont cause a problem at all. vry nice. i had it for about 1 1/2 years and was pretty rough on it until i uprgraded to a flatline. it stayed intact. |

I have (3) J&J Ceramic barrels. One for my Pro/Am, one for my A-5 and one for my Automag. If you happen to break a ball, a quick run-through with a squeegee will get you a mirror-like shine. It is amazing. Like a ball never broke in there in the first place. These barrels are not fragile in any sense of the word. They have nice porting which makes them a lot quieter. Accuracy is on par with the Bigshot.
