do you have a second paintball gun? i am thinking the tank valve might have a problem.
after it starts doing this, take your tank off. does it hiss like it should when you remove it?

Does it sputter? It sounds like you get a shot in the air line and some reason the tank valve closes.

Check the tank valve.

hmm... if the Co2 tank IS full, then it sounds like either a tank valve or ASA problem. check the machined nub inside the ASA. Make sure that it still protrudes enough to engage the pin valve on your Co2. Otherwise, it could be the pin valve. Lastly, it could be a piece of debris inside the Co2 tank at the valve.

I think this could also be some kind of wearing problem inside the receivers, specifically around the rear bolt area and the rear of the powertube.  If by some chance, there is unusual wearing going on, something is tightened too much or too little, or something is bent (powertube opening) then the bolt could catch the outer edge of the powertube and not go inside of it to hit the pin.

First off, I would inspect the condition of the rear of the powertube, it might be pinched a little or wearing weird.  Then I would check the bolt/linkage arm/front bolt to see if there is anything they might be catching onto and stopping the mechanism before it hits the valve pin.
