Its a Psychoballistics. I got the same one. (this is my friends account.)
If you ever decide to upgrade it(ex. new board, noid, 2 way ram.) You can simply screw a barb into the second hole and it will work as a 2way. |

You have a BSI E-bolt. You need 12 volts of power. AA gives you 1.5v and 9
volt is self-explanitory. |

I think Psycho Ballisitcs was the only one with a self contained battery system. I could be wrong though. |

2 way ram is like what's on a 'cocker, air actuates it both ways. Faster cycles are possible with this. The stock ram of an E-Bolt is a 1 way, where the air drives it forward, but a spring drives it back. |

That is definately the original "Electro-Pneumatic Kit" from Psychoballistics. That is the first one ever put out by anyone. Shortly after, they started selling a battery adapter that was just a plastic battery shapped tube that go where those two photo electric batteries are with two wires that go to a 9V located in the battery cover that comes with the upgrade. Considering that the guy that started Ballistic Sports was the guy who developed the external 9V housing that Psychoballistics kits used a few weeks later(the metal one) I doubt that their kits ever featured the internal photo electric batteries. (I think I still have my original photo electric batteries in my spare parts case somewhere)
I had the same kit the first month it came out... I did that upgrade, but when I sent it in to them for service, they changed the kit around. As is, that one is a pain to put back together because the fittong on the back side of the gun has a tedency to put itself between the receiver halves preventing it from closing. It is also hard to get the battery case to stay put sometimes. And yes, you can just wire in a 9V adapter with no problem. I would take off the two wires on the board going to the battery adapter and just solder any 9V adapter in its place... I used new ones from Radio Shack, but you can just as easily rip one out of the bottom of an alarm clock or old toy. Then all you need is the battery housing. One last thing... this particular kit was created before the M98 Custom. It was intended only for the original style Model 98. That is why your double trigger is ghetto rigged like that. You can solve this problem by finding a double trigger for the original Model 98 and just putting it in there... you don't use a trigger spring with it... the metal plate that it pushes against doubles as a trigger spring. |

I have seen it done before, and it is a fairly simple thing to do, but the time involved in order to make it right, especially when you factor in other methods, doesn't appear to make it the best idea. You are routing a wire where nothing is supposed to travel, the first thing that is going to happen is the wires will be crushed, and will eventually wear through the insulation, then short out. The solution is to use a dremel cutting wheel (I would stack a few together to make it wider) and cut a channel for the wires to go into. Then I would glue or tape them into place so that they stay there when I am putting the gun back together. This is obviously a bit of work, and then you have a problem taking the kit out when you clean the gun.
The normal battery housing adapters double as a closure to keep dirt out of the receiver, but you can also have a problem running the wires through there, cause if you aren't careful when you put the gun together, a battery wire can become loose inside the chamber and eventually catch on the ram when it moves forward and disconnecting the wire form the board (I had that happen once). If I were you at this point, I would explore alternative solutions. I am lookign at the ASA and Micro Rock setup you have there. Since you already have a bit of bulk on the area, why not just mount the battery to that? You can cut a small opening at the bottom front of one of the grips to run the wire through, and then tape (or find another securing method) the battery to the microrock and/or ASA................ As I look at the picture again, I see that the Custom 98 already has a hole there. That hole is intended for the later E-bolt kits. They don't use a gas-thru bolt, but simply run the hose right through that hole into the air valve (which is flipped around - there is a lot more room with the battery adapter out of the way). One last thing I want to mention in this post: I see that there is no regulator mounted on this gun. I assume you are running HPA, as Co2 with this setup will not work well, the air valve freezes quickly and will stop working. You should probably get a regulator and vertical adapter on there, adjusting with the stock velocity screw is a horrible waste, and the regulator will be more consistent. |

It is because you are using HPA that you really should get a regulator
- I would also reccomend a Macroline kit as this will help you take off
the regulator for service/maintenance (at only $10 or so it ain't a bad
idea).
Any High Pressure/HP regulator will work just fine. Just make sure that it goes up to 800-850psi. Anything that tops out around 400-500 is a low pressure regulator and most likely won't allow you to get up to an appropriate fps. If you are looking for a suggestion, I hear good things about Bob Long Torpedos and Custom Products regulators. |

Sry... after a while I quit looking at the picture. But you are still going to need another 90* Macroline fitting. I don't know of any regulator where the striaght one will work off of it... unless you screw in a 90* fitting, but that will look stupid.
