Does an Ion have to have hpa. Like could i use co2 for a while and then switch to hpa will it mess it up?

It will work with co2, but the possibility of liquid co2 entering the noid is just a big factor that it would be best to either not get an Ion until you can get HPA or just to get it and look at it until you get HPA. The price of having to fix an Ion compared to just waiting until you can afford HPA is something you don't want to do.

Don't use co2. You will regret it. Just buy HPA or don't buy the ion at all.

Ion as Smart Part's will tell you, should NEVER and I repeat NEVER be used with C02. Liquid is very dangerous to the gun.

Im with them, trying to ramp an Ion with co2 is like trying drink a fancy wine out of a paper cup.(Sorry stupid analogy)

It's closer to the truth than you might think.

The Ion is basically Shocker technology in a low-buck body.

Co2 in an Ion can be done, but I would not risk it (except maybe with a
remote and vertical bottle).
