 Hello everyone,

I got involved in paint ball last year and fell in love with the sport.

I primarly play woodsball, and I purchased an A-5 which I love, I 've allready added a rufus dawg bolt, polished the internals, and switched over to HPA. Being a big guy I want to lay down the fire power. Any additional mods, that would help increase my rate of fire?

The main reason for this post is I picked up a used ion at the end of last year. I don't really know the condition of the marker other than the fact I have the frame and barrel. I would like to build a bad A__

marker that rocks 25 to 35 bps. Can the ion be upgraded to do this? Or would I be money ahead to purchase another marker.

 Thanks for the advise.

Mike

First of all welcome to the forum... Now for the ion you can go with an A.P.E. board for it which run around 130.. or you can get the virtue board which is also 130... or you can get the blackheart board for around 100 bucks... Also if you get one of those boards I would definitly get a new loader like halo or reloader somethin that will be able to keep up with you ion

If you upgrade the board, you might also want to consider the SP Fire Bolt. It's about half the weight of the stock bolt and allows for higher rates of fire. It also reduces the operating pressure of the marker by around 15psi.

really you dont need anythin... but if you want to make you ion fast then yes upgrade the board i have not seen any real numbers on these boards but i assume the A.P.E board is goin to be 25bps... not sure but i think the virtue and blackheart both go up to 30bps and your halo will feed around 35bps I believe
*edit* almost for got look into getting a new bolt like that SP bolt... also a new trigger

virtue boards are one of the fast boards for the ion.board, qev and bolt and whats going to help you shoot fast. However it will NOT shoot 35bps.ion internals, stock or other wise are only rated to about 24-26bps.so dont listen to people when they say it will shoot 35bps.it will basically shoot loader max which is usually about 25bps.Q-loader will feed 30 but your gun wont.
