Searched the forum but couldn't find what I was exactly looking for, so here it is. Wanted to know how far, in or out, the velocity screw should be on an A-5 for max R/T performace? I put a sleeve over the spring pin and the spring sits on that, compressing the spring further. I can achieve 280 fps with the veloctiy screw just barely turned out of the powertube and not yet quite reaching the guns receiver(while using the Flatline). I played with this setup for a day and the extra air the gun is using up isn't a problem. I was still at 2300 psi before refilling during lunch. Wondering if this extra turbulance from the velocity screw being in so far is optimal for the R/T or does it really not have that much of an effect?

I am not aware of any proper investigation on the subject, but I always got the impression from personal experience that my RT worked better with the velocity screw further in (more turbulence).
