So i got new shells, and as i was putting them together, i noticed for the lid, i only have one spring on one of the two screws that hold the lid on. Are there suppose to be two and i lost one? or is that right?

There are supposed to be two, but I took mine mine out because they really didn't do anything special for me.

Took mine out about two days after getting it. Want them? Just ask around, everyone seems to have a set in thier kit.

so they are useless? Now the screws that were on my old shells that held the lid on are way too big for the new shells. Did they change size? |

They are making new body halves now that uses the new style lid and hardware. You'll have to buy the new nylon rivets and maybe washers.

Well i went back for the sale today, they guy opened up a new egg, gave me the lid, which is thicker than the old one, the rivets that hold the lid on, i had screws on the old one, and he gave me the springs. I love the store, he saw that i needed new things, i didnt even say anything and he brings out a differnt one and started taking pieces off of it. |

Lucky duck. My egg is really showing signs of wear and tear, battery door was replaced then had one of the latches break off, new lid, both halves have cracks by the feed neck. I performed the battery mod in the uber upgrades sticky, and I must say I am very impressed. You should really consider looking into doing that. Takes all of the pressure of the battery door. |
