Just wondering if anyone has made a homemade gun rack or cabinet for their paintball guns ? My son would like to make a rack or cabinet to put the guns into besides the ammo box we have them in now.

Thanks,

Raz

i used to keep my 'cocker hanging on the wall, on sorta long pegboard hooks, but scewed into the wall studs...i took it down because the dust in the room settled on it, i didnt want it to dry out any internal o-rings

so i would go for a closed cabinet instead to prevent the dust issue, check craigslist.com and the like in your area for a china cabinet that someone is getting rid of, just take the shelves out, they already have glass doors and maybe sides to display your gun

yea, doc's machine shop has some cool ones, but not everyone can make those by themselves, they're metal, and pretty sweet, alot of people make them out of pvc, but thats kinda lame for display

I have a single piece of an oak entertainment center that I acquired cheap via garage sale. I built a custom set of interlocking racks/shelves that go inside to hold my markers/equipment. If I can find the wife's camera (mine is no more) I'll post a pic.

so, the pipe catches the gun right at the back of the receiver and then the grip just rests on the floor of the cabinet ? Am I correct ? Good looking setup. Was this originally sometype of china hutch or did you make it yourself ?

Thanks for the pix,

Raz

You are correct, except that it is a piece of oak hanger rail (like for a closet) wrapped in pipe-wrap foam) and the grip is unsupported (all the weight is just behind the grip. Good looking setup. Thank you. Was this originally sometype of china hutch or did you make it yourself ? It was originally a single piece of a multi-piece entertainment center. I picked it up used for cheap. I have no idea where the rest of it was.

Thanks for the pix, You are welcome. Just to brag, I am especially proud of the fact that I designed all the shelves to interlock so nothing is attached to the pre-existing cabinent. It is held in place with nothing more than the metal pins the original shelves would rest on. If you remove my shelves by lifting them up off of the wooden dowels set into the side pieces, the rest of it collapses and slides right out.

Tossed on top of a wire shelf in my room, or in a rubber maid box.

Get some Peg Board and some pegboard hooks. Not only it will look like something the Punisher would have in his Safe house it's a godo way to display them. Thou might want to check with your wife and the like as to where to put them.

What if you can't use a stud finder. (They go off whenever I get near them.)
