Hey, I was just wondering what the difference is in having the remote coil in the middle of your gun and taking off the part where the co2 goes, and just leaving that in and putting the remote coil into the co2 part?

It's hard to understand what you mean. But there is no advantage
as to where you hook up your remote. What ever you think is
cooler looking or more confortable or both is where you can hook it up.
(if that's what you are asking) |

Well you see pictures of the tippmann a-5 stealth where the remote coil comes from the middle bottom of the gun where the silver part is, and then the normal a-5 you attach it where the co2 goes. i was just wondering if there was any reason for that.

A lot of your mil-sim guys (the ones who the "stealth" is aimed to sell to) don't like a tank-on-marker configuration. It just eliminates them having to buy a remote and strip off the asa.

Because when you take the remote off of the stealth you don't have a
metal silver coil running from your powertube to the end of your gun
where the C02 normally screws in.
Is it better? All it does it make it look more mil-sim. That's all. Edit -- tallen beat me to it. Edited by phil_stl - 29 January 2007 at 5:49pm |

I prefer the remote near at the end. Cause my remote isn't long,
so I haven't had it farther forward on the gun, which would
reduce the amount of movements (ex: can't reach out as far because of
more resistance). Also the speed I make those some movements can be
slower because of the larger amount of resistance because the remote
has less slack and gets tight sooner.
So having the remote at the end is better IMO. So ya there is no need to change it. |
