    Posted: 24 March 2007 at 10:09pm

I had a leak at my valve on my 68 carbine and tried blowing oil through it to possibly seal it up but to no luck at all. I pulled out the valve and opened it up inorder to check the inner valve o-ring and my problem was solved, Well almost anyway! I checked out several o-ring kits for the 68 and none include the inner, just the outer?

Is it possible to pick up o-rings at the local hardware store that work as replacement o-rings. I just need the inner valve o-ring and there isnt a paintball store within 30 or so miles from where I live. I wish I had a o-rings mm size chart for the 68 carbine and the 98 custom so I could just go to the hardware store, Is there even such a chart out that I can get my hands on?

I guess I am out of luck. I figured that since paintball has been out for so many years, there would have been someone with maybe a guess of the o-ring sizes atleast.

I am gonna order a o-ring kit for all the tippmann markers and carry them off to the hardware store to match to mm sizes.

If I happen to get the sizes before Enos, I'll send them to him to post.  No dought, He did a great job already on the marker bolt sizes!

Sorry no help came to you this time , not many of us have much experience with the 68 carbine .  Give it a couple more days , maybe someone who doesnt log into the forum everyday knows the sizes you need .

I'd be able to answer your question if my memory didn't SUCK.

I know the outer valve O-ring is a size 017... but cannot for the life of me, recall what size the internal o-rings are.

Were you able to salvage one? Could you bring it to the store to match up?

I honestly have never replaced any internal valve components... thru being lazy/sake of convenience, I've always sent the valves in for a rebuild at Tippmann. The cost was always minimal and worth every penny considering how frustrated I get trying to deal with the e-clips.

Hopefully someone will come on soon and give you the answer... or I'll magically remember it, before too long.

Thanks for the responce! I still have the inner valve o-ring inorder to size it, dry rotted and miissing a small piece off one side but probably good enough to match.

I use to be on the forum pretty often two years ago; under the name "DugOut" couldnt remember my password so I just created another.

Thanks for your help! Any other info would still be appreciated!
