Alright. Before anyone jumps on me about this, I know there is a paintball revolver that was made in the 80's by Crosman. I also know that they don't make them anymore and they can be hard to find. I was just wondering if anyone knew if perhaps Tippmann or any other company had plans for a .68 revolver? They may only have six shots, but the feel and the look on the field would be worth it. Or if anyone has a Crosman 3357 that they're trying to sell. In good condition. Anyway...

I don't think it would work. .68 is way too big to make 6 shots, the cylinder would be gargantuan. Also, it wouldn't sell good because it would be pointless, and probably expensive.

Also, no buying or selling on these forums.

sorry, fella.  i don't see a company making a revolver anytime soon...  but the crosman revolvers arn't too terribly hard to find.  just look around and keep a good amount of money in your bank.

Ah well. I just really want a revolver, for no other reason than to have the whole, Dirty Harry look on the field.

I have two 3357's(dont pm me trying to buy them, I aint selling), and it would be near impossible to make it .68 caliber. However, there was someone prototyping them on mcarterbrown but I beleive they never went anywhere

Dukie is making one, check out MCB http://www.mcarterbrown.com/forums/dead-zone/83665-drv-revolver.html
The sales thread is already up, although he has yet to get the finished product up yet. Check out page 92 for the latest pictures of the prototype.
wow, I was shocked that no one knew of this based off of who posted in here, but then I noticed this thread is really old... sucks that the topic starter had to wait 3 years for someone to make his fantasy come true

.68 cal ,replaceable cylinders,"optional"spring feed clip, removable barrel....Shocked WoW great minds do think alike cause I had the very same exact idea the whole nine yards its just my illustrations was done the old fashion way with paper & pencil. Tongue Oh there is one difference my design was a 6 shot 16 if you count the clip not a 5 or 15 but it would probably be more practical his way.Approve Plus according to my plan the clip would be in the handle like any other pistol but the co2 would pop out with the clip instead of that screw thing. But anyway great job though he managed to pull it off  Clap

I love the idea of the revolver.  It would only work, obviously, if everyone had a revolver or if some other rules were set up.  One idea is to allow everybody only six paintballs in their hopper, then you'd have to reload six again, etc.  It would make it fair.

Why not worry less about fair and spend a little time learning to use the strong points of a pistol? You are not going to wipe out the entire team with a pistol. You can however move very fast and ruin the game for 6 bunker bunnies (before you are shot 30 times because you are the only opposing player doing any moving).

I'd roll with it, just to be different. Run with a pair of them and mess up 12 guy's game if you're fast enough. Flank, get close and get as many as you can. They'd also spend more ammo getting you than you do on them. Meanwhile, hope that the rest of your team is doing something really useful. Definitly not something you'd see every game. The finished one'll look badass.

And, who cares about fair? All that matters is fun.
