wrong section. A Custom Pro is just a 98 Custom with a double finger trigger, longer barrel and a drop forward. You can just buy those upgrades for the 98 Custom and you will have the smae thng as a Custom pro. Go to www.tippmann.com and check 98 Custom acsessories to see what you need.

Actually Jordan, you have it all wrong. The 98 Custom is the same as the 98 Custom A.C.T.
Custom Pro parts will not work in a 98 custom because they work completely differently. |

No I meant that to get the same upgrades that are on the Custom Pro you put those on the 98 Custom. I fogot to say that Custom pro parts wont work on a 98 Custom though good thing you noticed that cause I didn't check to see if I mentioned that. When you buy most gun upgrades doesn't usually say which type? For example 98C or 98C act. Just look for the upgrades that say they are for your gun.

Yes you can get a E trigger for a 98Custom and If you have ACT your gun should say ACT somewhere on it. On mine on the handle their is a blue dot in the middle and it says A.C.T. Also on the back of the gun it should say ACT.

Now I am not sure about this but all of the 98 Customs I have ever seen at Walmart didn't have act. When you bought your gun at Walmart was it in a plastic package? I think that the E trigger is avalable for 98C with or without ACT.

I personally have only upgraded the barrel on my gun I have a 98 Custom ACT with a Smart Parts Linear Barrel. I am thinking about getting a E trigger or a Response trigger next. I just look on www.tippmann.com and look at the acsessories for the 98 Custom then go on www.pbreview.com and look at what I want. If you want more help on a specific upgrade post a new topic about it in either the upgrades and customizing section or the new players section.

The best way to find out if the gun has ACT without opening it or whatever is to hold onto the bolt nob and release it. Keep holding onto the bolt and put your finger into the chamber and lightly release the bolt. If the front bolt begins to squish your finger, it does not have ACT. Some 98 Customs cannot have an Egrip installed. It has to be a newer type 98 Custom. If you ever open the gun and the sear spring pushes the sear up to the bolt, it is able to use an e-grip. If the sear spring pulls, it cannot take an e-grip. Taking apart a 98 custom is really easy and something you should go ahead and do right away so you can get a feel for the gun and the way it works.
