So, I don't know if you folks have heard about this, but Microsoft has started up Live Search Club.  The games are cheesy and not much fun, but you win tickets with them.  You collect them and win prizes.  I've been playing for about a week now and finally won Windows Vista Ultimate (6,000 points).  Of course the catch here is they don't plan on shipping it before August 30th =\

But hey, its free!

I'd recommend Crosswire and Chicktionary, both are pretty easy to play.

You need a live account and then you need to make an account there.

Other prizes include an Xbox 360 for 35,000 points and a Zune for 20,000 points.

I think it is funny that the Zune is a prize. That is like getting a bacterial infection for winning pinball in an arcade.

As far as I can tell, there is no catch.  Back on OC forums, they are saying its because each answer you give triggers a search.  Microsoft gets money for the thousands of searches and can afford to give away stuff.

Its not an Xbox live account, its a Windows Live account.  Anyone can make one, and if you have Windows Live messenger, you already have one.

Tickets as far as I can tell do not expire.

From my experience, it doesn't like Firefox or Opera much, it always works with IE 7.

As for me, next stop, Xbox 360!

Seems I won't be able to play then, I can't install IE7 properly because when I nLited my XP install CD I removed the IE engine core.

As far as I can tell, its not going to end any time soon.  According to folks on OC forums, the group running it has run other legit Microsoft promotions.

BB, you should be able to play it with Firefox all the same.  I frequently play on Firefox with no problems, however the first time I played I had to use IE 7.  Are you sure you cant just download the package off Microsoft's home?

And yes, tickets are points and points are tickets, I just use the terms interchangeably.
