< =text/>_popupControl(); I'm new to paintball and just bought an A-5 w/ R/t off of Ebay.  The gun has never been used but in came in an old box.  I wanted to know if anybody could tell what year the gun is or how to find out (or if it really matters)? ser#187826.

Is it from Tippmann Sports, or Pneumatics? Is the Finish smooth, or rough?

If its from Tippmann Sports, its less than two years old.

< =text/>_popupControl(); It's from Pneumatics with a smooth finish .  Even if its over two years old, I bought for $177.00 (shipping included), new w/ response trigger and a collapsible stock.  I didn't think it would be that old, but does it make a difference?  Have the newer A5's change that much that I should worry about reliability? And is it considered a good buy? At first I thought it was a steal, but now I not sure.  The gun shoots fine.  Again I'm new to paintballand any info would be great.  I working on putting pictures up, but Im an idiot. < =text/>_popupControl(); < =text/>_popupControl();

It doesnt matter at all. I perfer older stuff like that myself anyway. The only difference between newer and older A5's in quality is the newer A5's have a better cyclone, which you can get for free. Does your cyclone have an "A" on the bottom?

< =text/>_popupControl(); Right, it does have an A on the bottom.  What does that mean?

The "A" on the bottom means that the Cyclone has the second update, which means that it has the first update.

That's good.  If you didn't have an "A" you would want to get some update parts.  With the "A" you are good to go.

I cant give you a specific date, but its probably 2-4 years old.

Or, it could be older with upgraded parts. Whats the serial number? I cant help you with the serial number, but most places and people can.

Edit: Crap, you already posted it. Try calling a local shop
