so i just got back from paintballing at a friends house and got about 300 shots form my 20 oz and 100 shots from my 12 oz. i took it apart after i used the 20 oz tank and replaced all internals......except for the powertube with the parts kit a frind gave me. so i took it apart after i got 100 shots from my 12 oz and took apart the powertube and found something odd.........on the metal thing inside the powertube where the two screws go into the gun i found something red that looks like it seals the powertube....and in one of those holes the red sealant had a hole in it. i put the gun back together with teflon tape in those screws and threw my 9 oz on, and got about 300 shots. also co2 comes out of the top of my gun in front the the rear sight, in the middle where the two recievers meet. **edited** could be my problem here? here is a pic of what i mean. notice on the right how u can see the metal inside the hole and on the left it is all dark.

Come on 98, post a picture in which something is actually visible. The power valve screws are sometimes installed with LocTite (the red stuff) at the factory to prevent loosening. If in some way the hole into which the screw fits were punched through into the inside of the Power valve, there would be no loss of gas, because the screw with the LocTite on it is sealing the hole. As long as the threads in the power valve aren't stripped, then they aren't your problem.
Sounds like the ASA might be the problem (the post may be too short), or an obstruction in the gas line somewhere... |
