Well had been a long time for me since i played last and had my old mag and pro-carbine collecting dust.  So i ended up selling the tippy to a co-worker (he was looking at tippmans and never herd of a carbine but really liked it).  (AKA GOOD BYE OLD FRIEND)

Any ways last weekend i ended up going out with some guys from work and playing some good old woodsball at flag Raiders (AWSOME FEILD).  Alll i have now is the mag witch worked flawlessly (just oiled it up and off i went) .  Shure enuff i had a blast and im hooked once again.  But ther mag is so shiny and way too EASY to let paint fly so i needed a good old woodsball gun again.

Enter in the new toy a BRAND NEW IN BOX PGP 2K1.  This should help slow me down a bit more and help with that problem of sticking out like a sore thumb.

So here is the old friend now gone to a new home

And some of the new arsenal (with the other old friend)

And lastly the new toys close up god this thing is fun

Welcome back!  Those markers all look like they're in excellent condition!  Love the mag.  I think I'm going to pick one up for my buddy who used to play (he's hinted how he always wanted one) to pull him back in...hehe...

i would argue pgp to be the best paintball gun ever produced.

a gun that was in production what...1984(?)-2002 (16 years) with little to no change.

i recomend picking up a 12guage belt from walmart. both 12 grams and 10rd tubes slide in and can act as a stock class harness.

Nice addition. Mag looks good as always.

Got the PGP for 180$ CDN.
But you can find used ones A LOT cheaper.

I just always liked the PGP but never got one i used to have a Phantom and i missed stock class play so when i decided to get another woods gun the desishion was fairly easy.

And as for the drop on the mag i like it so no thanks.  That mag is staying as is for good. i may have to get another mag and make it more woods ball oriented (I  play woods only from here on in i was playin speed ball when i quite and have no desire to play again).

Well have not played a game with the PGP yet (just target shooting in the yard). Going to a big game in september so ill get to test it out then (the mag will be there to back me up if i cant cut it with the PGP).

The PGP is alot heavier but considerably smaller.  Accruacy from what i can tell is pretty mutch the same with a possible edge going to the phantom.  Ease of maintence and operation goes hands down to the PGP (quick strip able and easy velocity adjustments).  The PGP does not have the auto trigger so rate of fire is not as good but its a stock class marker so spraying paints not an option any how.  I think the only thing i liked better on the phantom over my PGP is the fact that on the phantom i had a 15 round feed tube to the PGP's 10 and the phantom had the option to going direct feed.  The other benefit i find with Phantom was it seemed to get a few more shots outa a 12g that being said though its alot faster easier to change 12g with the PGP.

Over all i prefer the PGP as its just more fun to use but i believe the phantom was a better stock class performer.
