need a gun, which on to choose?

OK so I want to start paint balling, problem is i dont have a paint ball gun. so im asking some of the more experienced players what i should get? i can spend between $0-$250 to 300 . probly play woodsball because i dont know of much around here. population 2000

Now, the tank size isn't the best in the world, but it's hpa. And if you aren't shooting a case-a-day (which I doubt you will be seeing as how you've got the budget you have) it'll work well enough for you. Just make sure you have a shop around you that can fill HPA/N2 before going with that kit.

That's a lot of marker and one heck of a deal for that price.

That is a good deal, but he would want to upgrade the tank eventually... but before anyone else weighs in...

1) Do you plan on going to a local field?

2) If so do they offer HPA, CO2, or both?

3) If you are planning on playing outlaw/ in your local woods what do you have access to (HPA or CO2)?

The fact that the Super-Stock has eyes that slow the rate of fire down enough to keep chops from happening with a revvy means he'll be fine for a while. Tank upgrade would be my primary upgrade after settling in with the package. The stock barrels on the newer WGP models aren't too shabby, so the barrel wouldn't be as necessary as with, say, a tippmann.

I would not suggest this setup. A5's are overpriced (you can get much nicer, or much cheaper mechanical guns right now, and even prior the price for an A5 or any Tippmann marker is the result of name recognition). As for the 98, I do like them over A5's but still there are better markers for the money, many people gave such examples.

As for stocks,... they are practically useless (some people like them, and thats fine, but for your average player its a needless, and bulky upgrade that wastes valueable resources... such as cash).

In regards to the flatline barrel. It is a piece of garbage. You get increased range, but at the cost of accuracy, and likelyhood that a paintball will break on impact (marker set to the same fps exiting the barrel + longer distance = less speed/ less force upon impact = increased likelyhood of a bounce). I guess if you want to fire from farther back in the field than everyone else, without the ability to actually hit anyone and have them be eliminated... instead of spending the $100 dollars for one on a nice barrel kit....go right ahead.

As for "best woodsball gun"... there is no such thing as a woodsball or speedball marker outside of the marketing ploys of companies, and the ignorant mentalities of some people. Whichever set of markers are the best, are the best in both styles of play.

Although you can play competively with a lower end gun, and in woodsball the technological advantage of electopnuematics is not as severe as during speedball, the electro still offers an advantage over other players using less advanced gear.

98s are good but as mentioned there are cheaper centre feed markers that are just as good, if not better. If you do have your heart set on the durability of a 'woodsball' marker and your right-handed, then the A5 is a great choice because of the cyclone hopper and its simplicity.
