Well, I just ended up selling my '05 Prostock, which I loved, but was made an offer I couldn't refuse.  After I sell some more stuff I have laying around, I should have $350-$400 for a new marker.  Now, obviously this range gives me access to many, many markers and makes my decision very hard.  I have HPA and a Halo, so the money is for a marker only.  Currently, I'm looking at the DP Fusion, FEP Quest, DM5, '05 Egos, NXT Shockers (ew, Smart Parts, but hey, it's a good gun), most any Angel except the A1, and various others.  Now, I would like to know what you guys would pick, listed or not, and why.  I would always like a fairly uncommon marker, and one that doesn't require extreme amounts of maintenance is nice.

If you want uncommon but beast, look into Cyborgs, Vikings, Quests and Legends. All extremely good markers and very rare to see on most fields.

Arent those over that price range? Well at least new. I mean the cyborg is sweet with 33 bps and only weighing 1.9 lbs but it is over 1000 dollars.  maybe I saw a diff one.  But the others didnt seem to be much lower either.

I was talking used and older models. 06 Cyborgs go for about $500 while 05s go for about $400. Quests and Vikings are even cheaper. The only marker I mentioned that could take some time to find at set price range is the Legend.

FEP is next to go, mark my words. NPS/KEE just dumped their stock to dealers for $100/ea wholesale on the Quests. KEE owns FEP and will drop them as soon as it quits being profitable, or drops to the price range where it would be in direct competition with the Mini. That's how they roll.

As far as my suggestions go. You can get NIB Karnis for $450

As far as used goes, the market is wide open
Ego or Borg would be my suggestion.

You Could build yourself a Killer Mechanical Auto Mag.  And then later you can turn it into a E-Mag if the fastest available mech markers speed is not enuff for you.  Deffinatly getting less likely to see other mags on the field and their quite possibly the most reliable markers ever made.

Or you could go out and buy a old PGP or a ultra fancy Phantom and spend the rest on playing.  opt for this option and your likely to become a better player AND you will be able to play twice as often due to savings in paint.

But I am biased I love mags and pump play. I am setup for well runded play. Got a Classic auto-mag for woods and such.  A fully done up and tuned X-valved ULT Mini Mag for speed ball or when i just want to fling the extra paint.  And a PGP2 for when i get the pump itch or am too cheap to shell out for a box o paint.

That being said was at the shop the other day and happen to start looking at one of those Invert Mini's man is that ever a nice gun.  That be my vote if i Ever decide to dab into electros, as thanxs to smart parts their are no more NEW e-mags being sold ARGG.

Shame, I was really looking into a Quest.

So, as of right now, would anyone suggest a Fusion?  They're different, and I could get a new one in that price range.

Hm. Maybe I should have waited for FEP to tank so I could pick one of those up for like nothing. :)

Oh, most newer Angels are low-pressure, so unless your HPA tank can do that, they're out (unless you want one so bad to get another tank or swap regs).

I'd like to suggest an older 'Borg as well, but I've got no experience with any of the "high ends," except 'cockers.

Speaking of which, why don't you just build an amazing MQ2 e-cocker? Those perform as good as any of the others you mentioned. More aftermarket options as well, and there will always be people who can tech 'cockers. So why not?

I was thinking about it, but I'm always looking for something new/different.  You never know, I may just end up with one...

Heh, I figured you might.

As of right now, I'm leaning towards the Fusion because the F7 can be had for about $230.

The guys over at MCB use a lot of DP Fusions when they aren't sporting wood or something from Palmer's. They seem to love them

Alot of the pricing in this thread is a little off.  Used 06 Cyborgs, I can find atleast 1 a week at $400.  Some used 05 Cyborgs are like $500, others are like $300.  New FEP OG Quests were $400 WITH a upped Halo, NEW.  2007 Quests are still kind of expensive though.  So online, they are about $300.  Brand new LE Fusions are $270 on some online stores.

I myself really am trying to get a Fusion right now.  Ive changed my mind numerous times.  Most of the ones ive looked at are the Cyborg, Fusion, Quest and PM6.  Not to keen on the many orings on the PM6, so that was out.

Then, 2 of my friends had Quests and say they feel funny and didnt really like.  I wasnt able to shoot it though.  They seem like great guns for the price.  Cyborgs are still out of my price range, but I would love one.

So, I really want a LE Fusion.  Theres no reasons to not really get it.  Really efficient, not to heavy, looks great, reliable, excellent CS.  Best yet, Lifetime Warrenty.  Only $270 for an LE, like $240 I think for non-LE.

Well, for anyone keeping track, I am now pretty set on an A4 series Angel, preferably the Fly version.  A friend has one, and I must say that I love it.  I can keep my HP tank with a little modding to the reg, and I think all will be well.

A4 Flys are going for pretty cheap on PbN now.  Ive always wanted one of those, they seem great.

Dont they tell you the temperature and all that?

I sport wood more often than not.

Fusions are good guns, and the older non-F8 models can be had for next to nothing. Thresholds have a place in my heart as well.

edit- I have an A4 Fly, and it does kick major butt. If you and/or meanman need any info on one let me know, and that offer extends to any post-LED/V6 Angel.
