I was wondering what color/stlye of camoflauge is best for woods ball (woodland, tiger stripe, etc.)?  The woods I play in aren't very dense trees about every couple feet but not too many bushes. 

Also: If anyone knows good websites to buy camo from please post link.  Cause the army/navy surplus store by me just closed so I have no idea where to buy from.

Any help would be great, thanks.

Honestly if you are only playing in one type of environment a hunting camo is the way to go. Military patterns are designed to blend into multiple environments, but they do not excel at blending into any particular environment. Real tree or mossy oak is going to be alot more effective in your situation.

Hunting camo does work well. I prefer BDU's though.

Thanks guys.  But a couple more questions: 

At bdu.com whats the difference between the BDU coat and the long sleeve BDU shirt?  All I want is a button up BDU 2 or more pockets. 

And what do you think is better Asian tiger stripe or woodland camo?

And for BDU pants what is the best blend cotton, nylon, poly, or any combination of the three?

Also: What is the differenc between an ACU, BDU, and M65 field jackets?

ACU is more digitalized which is suoposed to basically play with the eyes of people looking at you so they cant fully focus on you blending you in further.  I use MARPAT personally which is woodland Digi.  My oldschool BDU's worked just fine though.  I only got the MARPAT because it is the uniform for the team I joined.  BUt most of them work well.  Alot of it is preference and what you think will work best for your area you normally play in.
Stay low, run fast, and hope that paintball doesn't hit your...

The best cammo for most of North America in my experience is Marine Corps Digital Woodland Cammo. It does the best job at blending in and as long as you dont move you'll be golden.

Army ACU pattern i have found to stick out like a sore thumb in the east coast. I dont know out west but out here is worthless.

i live on base so i get REAL millatary issue BDU's. they work well, but get tight and heavy when wet. the ACU's stick out REALY REALY bad in the night time. i would recomend looking for some at a thrift store or finding someone who can find you real ones on base(very, very expensive).

Ok guys thanks.  I think I'll get a woodland BDU coat, but just one more question (I hope).  Will the coat be too hot to wear during summer games?  I just wanna know if it is meant for winter play cause if it is then I won't get it cause I want something relatively light.  I don't wanna be playing in 80 degree weather with a winter coat on.

Are you looking for a jacket or a blouse? For a lightweight garment you want a blouse not a jacket. A jacket is cold weather gear.

I have used both and it isnt that much of a difference if you get the thin jacket.  If you cant find one then get the blouse.  I just bought a new jacket and it is nice and thin so it wont be too bad.  Also in between games just take off whichever one you get to cool down and you will be fine.

Consider some CADPAT if you can find it. I'm not sure how commonplace it is in the states, though I'm sure someone here will say so.

BDU shirt is the way to go.

Woodland is better, but it doesn't make a huge difference. I kind of want to buy Tigerstripe myself just because I think it looks cool and its uncommon. Tigerstripe accually sticks out when standing vertically because the lines are horizontal and grass and trees grow vertical, but it matches when prone.

50/50 Cotton/Nylon Ripstop. Its a cotton shirt with nylon string in it to prevent tears from spreading.

ACU is the crap the Army is currently using, and is using because it is supposed to blend in with deserts and woodland, but doesn't blend in with either. Stands for Army Combat Uniform.

BDU stands for Battle Dress Uniform. The acual cut isn't as nice as ACU's, as they have knee pad pockets and easier to open regular pockets, but the woodland pattern is much superior.

M65 Field Jacket is a heavy insulated jacket available in every camoflauge pattern and has been used since the cold war.

Its not very common in the states, and it doesn't blend nearly as well in the majority of places around here in the winter. I would go with the MARPAT for a good all around camo, if that is what you are looking for. ACU is junk, and BDU is overrated.

I'll ditto the MARPAT.  Pretty amazing stuff in the woods.  Old woodland and realtree works well too.

But, frankly, in my experience the main thing isn't to get the best camo but to avoid loud spots.  BDU pants won't help you much if your pasty white neck is uncovered.  Look for parts of your body that stand out and cover those if you really want to increase your camoflage value.  At the ranges we play it is difficult to ever be so well camoflaged that you can stand up to close scrutiny, but it is very easy to have part of your body stand out all by itself.
