Hello to all. I recently purchased a a tippmann 98 custom. I am trying to get back into the sport and had a few questions. The local pro shop sold me a custom parts 14" one piece barrel. I am trying to get my gun to shoot as consistent as possible. My planned upgrades are a response trigger, double trigger upgrade (not sure who makes the best product), a compressed air tank. The guy said they no longer make the low presure kits and that it was not worth upgrading the bolt or springs and such. I was looking for some feed back and trying to get opinions on the subject. also wondering which drop forward and cosmetic upgrades were recommended. Thanks and any and all feed back is appreciated.

They guy at the shop was correct in that the LPK isn't worth the money for the performance it brings to your setup. Keep the stock internals. You won't find any aftermarket ones out there that are better. If you are going to get a Response Trigger, you'll find that the single trigger will be easier to find and maintain the 'sweet spot'. If you are also planning to use C02, I'd get a decent expansion chamber.

Thank you sotrmy night for the information. I plan on upgrading to a nitro tank. So with my barrel and a repsonse trigger adn nitro tank would it be safe to say i have a very consistent machine or is there more that is worth doing? I have read all of the stickies and am i have a better grasp but would just like a case to case scenario.

youll be fine i have all that with the exception of a j&j and a 48/3000. i play non stop scenario and refill maybe twice a day. but then i have decent trigger control... maybe consider getting a 45/4500 or a 68/4500. and kep the single trigger if you going for scenario ball.. its adds to the look of the gun if you ever deck it out with mods

IIRC you can mount the Cyclone to a 98...with the RT and if you plan on a having a high ROF then you may want to consider putting a Cyclone on there.
