Topic: Custom 98 stock problem HELPPosted: 25 October 2008 at 8:28pm |

I have a Tippmann 98 Custom W/ACT and I purchased the CAR stock for my marker. It said that the stock is compatible with all of the 98 custom models, but when I went to0 install the stock the slots on the stock that fit into where the end cap goes are too big for the existing end cap slots. The design is the same but the stock slots are too big and it won't fit. I am wondering if I have the wrong stock or if I should sand or file the slots down on the stock so it will fit, and it filing it will create a problem if I do too much and leave space, can someone please help me????

Is it a "Liberty Stocks USA" CAR stock? If so, I
installed one yesterday on a new 98C with no problems. |

I just installed mine on friday, it dident fit either. One fast "not to hard" blow with my hammer and it fitted perfectly, and now I can take it in and out with my hands.

Allright i will try the hammer thank you, maybe it does just need some force in order to move the frame slightly or just make a groove in the stock, thank you again.
