my a5 suffers from the "no velocity" syndrome and Ive tried everything including new o-rings, polished internals, new barrel, the tube is good.....I love it and have put A-LOT of money into it but it just wont pop. I get 220 max(I am on co2 ) HPA  is next but i cant see it bringing 70 fps..
Im about to sell it and get a rail....any last suggestions?
Hey kid... what happened to your gun..?

Have you been leaving it cocked? That could wear out the drive spring, which would result in low velocity.

New springs, a good oiling and ensure the stock velocity adjuster is turned out no more than 4 turns would be my initial suggestions.

Any more specific help/suggestions would require a detailed listing of upgrades/modifications.

P.S.  We do have a section called "Gun Maintenance and Repair" which would have been the appropriate place for this question.

CO2 in freezing temperatures could be a problem.

1. Springs.

If that doesn't work,

2. HPA.

It will work.

Need more information. Are you trying to play in cold weather with co2? If not, what is your exact gun setup? Do you hear any leaks anywhere on the gun?
