It is not necessary to repeatedly bump your own post. If someone has an answer, they will post it.

Actually, I think the answer was, take it to someone that knows what they are doing. It sounds like the fix for this is probably beyond the OP's competency. That, or they are annoyed at the text speak and rolling eye happy faces.

It does sound like (if I remember, been a while since I started my 98 up) that you are in programming mode. If it is doing that this is the problem. Atm the trigger switch is constantly on which is why when you press the power button it is not turning on but going into program mode, to do this normally you would hold the trigger down then press the power on button which will start the program mode. The problem is you trigger switch is stuck in the on position which could be for 2 reasons. 1 is its shorting out/malfunctioning in which case its a job for Tippmann to fix. 2 and most likely the switch is set up wrongly and just needs adjusting. On the trigger is a thin strip of metal which touches the trigger, when you pull the trigger you are actually pressing that strip of metal which in turn pushes the buttong on the switch. You can bend the piece of metal so that it is closer to the trigger to make it more sensitive or away for vise versa. Sounds like your is bend so that even at rest the metal is activating the switch so you need to bend it away from the trigger so there a gap between the trigger and the metal strip. Let us know how that goes and mayb add some close up pictures of the trigger area (and use MACRO if you have it on your camera!) This is one option, there are others buts lets get this one done first. |
