Connect Brain b4 putting mouth in gear

The "Special Olympic" comment on Leno, please, someone who is responsible for the free world, cannot manage to avoid a slur on a group of Americans in a national televised event. Makes you wonder what he says about other Americans in Private.
And then there was the Biden comment on Convienince Store attendants when he commented on Bobby Jindal after the State of the Union Republican response.
Now imagine if a Republican had made any of these comments what the media and public response would have been.

Do we now not wonder why they will not let Obama speak without his trusty telepromter, or Biden can get him the "number" of a few websites to help his communication skills. Got to love biased politics in the media.

Frankly, no one cares about either of those demographics.

Also, our last president belonged in the special olympics, so I don't think we really need to be too PC about the whole thing.

Personally, I thought it was funny... a black guy making a slur against handicapped people. LOL. I am sure there is a joke in there somewhere.

For the record, that game sucks.

He says something like "I bowled a 129. It's like the special olympics or something" He said this while laughing....

It was the same joke we have all heard, made, or laughed at.

To some extent, I believe that it is imperative that our elected officials act more decently than the common man.  As bad as they are in general, this somehow appears to be the case to me. That said, this is far from "inexscusable".  It's really nothing to worry about.  So, I'm with the J-meister.

If the conservatives of this nation want to be seen as a credible force and not some out there fringe loonies, we're going to have to quit making knee-jerk reactions to everything that Obama does. Does this mean we can't scrutinize everything he does? No, nor should we let our guard down on the issues that really matter, but let's face it. That comment is no worse than what you'd hear in everyday conversation. This nitpicking does nothing more than make those who do so look like whiny little runts that would be better off living in a nanny state like England.
