..... is perhaps the most biased idiot I've ever heard.

Between him and Rush...

I didn't see much of him in the past, so I can't tell if hes being more ridiculous lately or if he's always been this way.

That being said, the O'reily and the fox pundits are terrible, and I think for some of them at least they really believe what they say. Olbermann, on the other hand, seems to be TRYING to be as terrible as them, and that says something.

At least he doesn't tell people to shut up on his show or cut their mic off. That's a nice change from fox.

Politically, he is a standard pundit who makes his living off of canned outrage, same as all the others.

He wasn't bad on Sports Center, though, and still writes really good baseball analysis.

He should stick to sports.

Yup....He is a bit full of himself though...I'm starting to like Maddow better lately...

Edit: Let's not forget though, he's not a anchor. He's a pundit. He is suppose to express his opinions and be biased. Same with all the other prime time talkers, on all channels. The big difference between folks on MSNBC and on Fox, besides being liberal, is that they don't claim to be "fair and balanced"....I must say though, as someone who watches the MSNBC prime time line up a lot, they seem to be more liberal than partisan....Olbermann and Maddow and all of the others have been at least somewhat critical of the Obama Administration over the whole torture thing lately, and they have been less than supportive on his Afghanistan strategy....I don't watch fox news enough to know rather they are more ideological or partisan, but I just thought I'd point that out...As far as the daytime actual news anchors, MSNBC is FAR less biased than Fox....Not much different than CNN or anyone else as far as I can see...Of course, reality doesn't strike me as liberally biased as it does some on the right...

For the first time ever I agree, but now that Ive seen how ignorant this guy really is, I doubt I could look at him the same again....

Agreed, but for some reason he just strikes a chord in me somewhere....

He is not ignorant by any means, the same way Rush, Beck and Coulter are not ignorant, because I will bet my bottom dollar that Olbermann, just like the rest of them, doesn't really believe half the things he says.

They just know that by saying them, the crowds of sheep that listen to them for talking points will hover around and make their ratings go up. FreeEnterprise is case in point. How many times did he come here after Rush got done complaing about something and rant nearly word for word? For the pundits, left and right, it is all about ratings and money.

That doesn't go for Hannity though. I'm pretty sure Hannity is just enough of a moran to actually believe the things he says.

Like I said before, Olbermann might be a standard money maker when it comes to political punditry, but as far as baseball goes, the guy knows his stuff up and down.

For anyone interested, his current sports blog is here.

It's called "Baseball Nerd," and is a really good quality place for baseball analysis. It's usually pretty numbers and stats based.

I don't know, Olbermann either passionately believe the things he says or he is one hell of an actor....And I happen to enjoy Olbermann and the other liberal talkers out there, that hardly makes me a sheep...

Whale - Just got done reading through his blog...  He actually is a decent writer and seems to know baseball.  I just saw his latest rant on miss california and it set this thread off...

Everything he said about that idiocy was true....

This does bring up my one beef with Olbermann though, he pays too much attention to the stupid people on the right....he needs to stop devoting so much of his show to people like Miss California and Rush and Billo and focus on substance...I mean, it's funny and the crap they spout does need to be refuted sometimes...but not THAT much....it just adds pettiness....
