Just got done reading Ten Degrees of Reckoning by Hester Rumberg.
Very heart wrenching true story about a family that is victim to a horrific tragedy at sea. I felt that there were high highs and low lows in the book. On the highs I chuckled aloud, on the lows I literally had to stop reading for a bit. Unfortunately the book is plagued by inconsistant writing leaving the reader wondering what part of the story they are on. That being said, it is an amazing story to tell for a person with no formal author experience. After reading the story, I have an unending feeling that I need to visit New Zealand. Overall I would recommend that anyone with some free time and an appretiation for non-fiction give this book a go. (fyi, there are maps within the reading to give a magnitude of the journey.) So what have you all read recently or would recommend? |
