Ok, I want to know a few things here for advice since I've never tackle anything like this before.

I want to make a 98 Custom Pro look like a 1921 Thompson.

The Commando Stock looks close enough, but what really is the challenge is that drum magazine. I have no clue in how I could model one.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to model something like this? I was thinking I could get a round piece of wood, use some mighty putty to add details to the wood to make it look like a drum mag, paint it black and then drill a hole for the Co2 line.

thoughts? Some advice or help?

The "Arctic Fox"; Insanity at its Finest!

Since only experts and veterns can give their opinions and nobody listens to those who are new, I'll just leave and make everyone happy.

Luc,
Why not go to the local pluming shop and get a couple of blind flanges? They are basically flat plastic plates made from PVC. Easy to glue and easy to shape. (Lowes of Home Depot may have them too). If you have a local plastics distributer they could hook you up with a one piece solid blank...but they WILL charge more. (Trust me...I own one). If you want plastic (I would over wood) I would stick with PVC. It's tough, easy to machine and takes primers and paint well. Should be easy enough to fake something with just glue, some end caps (PVC) to match the ID, and a steady dremel.

Try ebay for some kind of model kit based around the thompson. I have seen them. I have seen drum magazines for $79 - $109 that fit ak's at some of the gun shows. It's not a Thompson...but from 5 feet away whose gonna know?
You gonna make some wood overlays to go over the forestock? How you gonna paint the buttstock?

Good Luck...think it's a cool idea

What part of 'shut up' are you not getting?
