(just sharing my thoughts, realize I may be wrong. No need to make a big deal if I AM wrong.)

I believe that the only difference between the new style A-5 and the Old Style A-5 is that they replaced the end cap from a free rotating sling mount to a fixed solid sling mount, due to the free rotating one being weakened and under certain circumstances (for specific models falling under specific serial numbers) having the risk of being damaged, damaging the marker, and potentially harming the user.

links are nice: http://www.tippmann.com/usa/recall/default.aspx

with that said, I again, believe that the parts on a A-5 made 5 years ago can be used on a A-5 made just yesterday, but again, I could be wrong on this. From what I've seen (since I'm looking into buying a A-5), they only have 1 model of the A-5, minus the new end cap.

^^ Add the change in paint job and you've pretty much got it covered.
