Hi All, I'm hoping someone can help or assit me, I'm attending North vs South this weekendand I thought I would get some mods into my gun and change from CO2 to Compressed Air...

However the gun operates normal without gas/air (cocks and fires) but when I connected up my compressed air it pressurized and then I fired once, then it felt as though it was stuck open as i could fire and couldn't cock it (had no resistance)...  but when I removed all the Air it went back to operating as the gun shoudl when not linked up to air.

The mods that I have installed are:
  • JCS Jet Click & Rachet
  • JCS Red Hot Power Tube
  • Tippmann A5 Double Trigger
  • H18 Squishy Paddles
  • H18 Gas-Thru Grip (magazine)
  • H18 Tactical Car Stock
I'm going to dismantle the gun again to have another look, I'm pretty sure everything went back in the right place, especially seeing as the gun operates.

Has anyone heard or experienced this problem before?

Many thanks

Mark

Remove the aftermarket parts and see if the marker works properly. Add one at a time until it stops. I have seen aftermarket "upgrade" parts such as powertubes cause issues. Another thing to check is the stock. Measure the depth of the hole that the main spring goes into vs the stock end cap. Sometimes, the holes are too deep and cause the bolt to hit the valve pin too lightly and the marker can't reset. Also check that you aren't tightening down the receiver bolts too tightly. Doing so can cause the internals to bind sometimes. Make sure you did not confuse the mainspring with the cocking handle spring.

Thanks for reply, I've since fixed the issue but removing each modification, and after all that it turned out to be the double trigger - so have gone back to the single trigger which now has no issues at all...

Many thanks
