Hello all, I just purchased my first tippmann a5 marker. Now I want to know if modding or pimping it out is merely for looks or is it also for functionality? Because initially I was simply going to add the flatline barrel and a nice red dot scope (havent decided on which one to get yet and I am open to suggestions)

However, I have seen some very awesome looking mods making them to look like m16s or m4s. I really just play woods ball and I have been told that this would be a great marker, especially after adding the flatline barrel. I go paintballing maybe once or twice a month when time permits. I look forward to your input and advice. Thanks

There are modifications that enhance/alter performance and there are also modifications that only make the marker look "cooler."   The body parts that make an A5 look like an M16, M4 or any other real gun generally only alter the looks.  (However, some of these kits come with barrels and in most cases the barrels will provide superior consistency than the stock barrel.)

i don't recommend the flatline barrel. it makes the gun go farther, but going that far doesn't matter because it makes the accuracy trash.  i would suggest a dye 2 piece boomstick barrel, or something to that nature.
