I didn't know he was still alive. Cool that you got to see one of the greats.

84 years old and still kickin'! Hard to believe too. He seemed to really have a really good time. I tell ya, that's what it's all about man. Enjoying what you do for 56 years! Technically, it wasn't as terrific as it would have been if he played the same show 40 years ago, but he's still an entertainer, and he still entertains! He's a sassy old fart, that's for sure!
And as an aspiring guitarist, hearing one of the founders of rock and roll - and THE founder of blues rock - live in concert is an opportunity I couldn't pass. Oh, and hearing an old Chuck Berry accidentally drop an F-Bomb on stage is hilarious! |

That was my experience with Buddy Guy, only I was unfortunately incredibly hammered and don't remember most of it
I was totally blown away at how funny, crude, and all around youthful the guy was for a 74 year old. Plus he played amazingly (I recorded alot of it so I could actually watch it and remember), it was a great time. I need to see Chuck Berry, I honestly think he's one of my biggest influences. The song "No Particular Place to Go" is one of my all time favs to just jam out on.
