Hey all - ive got a older style 98C with a feedneck on it that does not come off...or i cant figure out how to. I see a very very tiny set screw on the inside of the hinge, but i cannot get it loose....i imagine theres a single rod in the hinge with that set screw to hold it in...if im right - HOW the heck do you get the bugger off, i want to put a newer slide on clamping neck but this has me stuck.. PLEASE help!!

Then if you want to remove it, when it is hinging pull it backward. The screw clamping the front sight may be too tight, FYI.

Nah i got it figured out, its an older feed neck (and btw i know how to take it down off the receiver lol - by pressing the front sight down...thats kinda obvious really) just couldnt get it to come off the gun. I had to drill out the set screw on the inside of the hinge because it was stripped ( thats how old the gun is) and hammer out the rod which was one single peice going through both pin holes on the feedneck itself... The newer ones have two pins and a space in the middles so you can slide it on and off easily... Probably made it that way because it was such a pain to remove before LOL! thanks for the help though
