Either or, they are both very nice barrels. The Ceramic will clean out better because of its coating, but you really will not notice a difference between the two in accuracy.
Which falls faster, a lead ball or your IQ after reading some of these posts?

well im about to order, and im edging toward the lapco bigshot. i called 888paintball and the guy said he would personally buy the bigshot he said the bogshot is one of the best barrels for the 98 custom. (i donno if thats true or not) then he said the J&J is good, but not as quality as bigshot,  then i called local paintshop.  guy also said i should get the bigshot,  then i called scheels. and he said he had a J&J and the bigshot, and he says there close, but the bigshot he said was a little more consistant in accuracy and at longer shots more accurate.

but then here  by the poll you guys says J&J is better..

i cant stand it when i cant make a desision.    i think i might get the bigshot, but i donno yet.    anyway  im ordering tonight, so tell me what you all think i should get,

OK, i have both. they are both very good, and i cant really tell the difference. it all comes down to the paint. some paint wont go with the bigshot and same with the J&J. They are almost identical, except the J&J is quiter IMHO.

I disagree. There is an accuracy difference and the ceramic does not clean out better. I own both and have used them quite a bit (bigshot for a little over a year and the ceramic for a little less than a year). They are both accurate but the bigshot is a little more accurate and offers more consistent performance. The ceramic makes a little less noise and costs less but does not shoot clean as well as you would think. Judging by what everybody says, you'd think that a couple shots would have you shooting as accurately as you did before a break but that's not how it is. A ball broke in the barrel once and I decided to test this out and that's when I found out that it self cleans no better than my bigshot does. I was pretty disappointed to see that after hearing so many people say that it didn't need to be squeegeed. My conclusion is that both barrels are good but the bigshot will be more accurate and is more reliable. There tends to be a pattern to where the shots land with my bigshot (can't explain it) but the ceramic is different. I prefer the bigshot personally.
