Its true that the flatline is loud but use the extra range to hit your targets before they find you, and also flatline is good for woodsball becasue it cuts trough brush better.

^^I agree^^. Ya its loud but who cares. I think its better to have a loud barrel because when you shoot it echoes and its hard for people to tell where u r. Also its a lot more intimidating than nE quiet barrel.

I like the way the Flatline performs but not the fact that you have to install it. To get my gun in my gear bag, I must take the Flatline off. That is the biggest pain in the butt imaginable. It's 14 inches(which isn't horrible) long so it will consume a little more air than any 12 inch. Since the porting is on the tip of the barrel, it is LOUD. Some people like it loud, but I don't. I like the shape of the shroud but not it being plastic. To upgrade to the metal will cost you 45 more bucks on top of the 120 you already spent.
You said you want something quite and 50-60 bucks. The Flatline doesn't fit in either catagory. I say go for the JJ ceramic or the Lapco Bigshot. Both shoot great(from what I hear). The Bigshot is supposed to be a little more accurate than the JJ. The JJ is quiter than the Bigshot. You chose what you would rather have... Loud and accurate or quite and "not as accurate but still accurate". I chose the JJ and it's supposed to arrive tomorrow. |
