    Posted: 08 July 2004 at 11:32pm

I have a limited cash flow.  Only looking for which of these upgrades are worth it for my 98C.  Double Trigger, Expansion Chamber, Responce Trigger, Velocity Knob, New Longer Barrel.  I'm not gonna put a Comp. Air into it, neither a Flatline on it.  I want to stay away from an E-trig.  I'm also not interested in new tanks.  Help is appreciated if it's somewhat remotely helpful.  Thank you and post quickly.

If you are still using a stock barrel then i would definantley go with a new barrel but if you already did that then i would go with a response trigger or the expansion chamber.

I'm new to this forum, but I agree, Barrel & RT.

The rest are upgrades you can do as you save up, they're very inexpenssive $20 - 40, expansion chamber $ 70.00.

1st barrel (flatline), 2nd motorized hopper (constant feed), 3rd RT, 4th palmer stabalizer ( works with Co2 or HPA )

^^^  You Children are funny.

I would save a fire power upgrade dead last.

You will Need an Expanion Chamber though but you need to buy a Vertival Adapter Also.

Dead on Paintball 8 stage x-core is probably the best expansion chamber for the price.

Your Next upgrade should be a 2x Trigger there pretty chearp starting out at about 14$

third upgrade should be a Dropkit* to Help Balance the weight out better. There is a good one around 22$ (Dead on paintnball Universal Drop)

fourth upgrade should be your barrel and I Suggest a J&J Cemaric, or Lapco Bigshot (Try to get them in 12")

* If you bought the Drop kit and the Expanion chamber your going to need to replace your Hoses.

You can lots of items for your 98 Custom at.  www.countypaintball.com

Polish the internals on your gun (FREE)

Install a Palmer Stabalizer ($80.00) It will lower the operating pressure, increasing accuracy and distance. (Works Awsome with CO2. A new Barrel. Best choice is a Empire 4 Piece Barrel Kit. ($100)

but any new barrel ($40.00+) is a substantial improvement.

first of all by the barrel ( 12 or 14" j&j ceramic or lapco bigshot), then the x-chamber( pick the one you like), and if you have any money left get the double trigger. you said you didnt have much money so look around for the best price, ebay is great. This will help you only for woodsball, so just save up and after you get the upgrades for woodsball, then go for speed. Woods first cause you play it more. Good luck with the upgrades.

Thanks people!  I'm most likely going to get a DOP * stage X-Chamber, a 12 in. Lapco Bigshot barrel, a double trigger, and a velocity knob.  Might skip out on the knob.  Great deals on http://www.countypaintball.com/ .  This will cost me less than $100.

first go for CO2. You will need a 20oz tank.

Then buy a barrel. I like flatline but obviously you don't so oh well.

Then buy an electric hopper because you will need it for the R/T or Ebolt

then firepower upgrade.

Then an expansion chamber.

then go for comfort upgrades such as stocks and grips and drops.

I need to find smaller pictures for my profile.

Bagh.  Just play with your gun and decide what you need.  The 50$ Lapco Bigshot is what you should get though, it will help out in any style of play.  The vertice adaptor and dead on 8 stage x. chamber will help out too.  But really, after that, is where you decide on what you want.  Don't get this or that just because the mighty forumers tell you to.

the 12" Bigshot was the very first upgrade i made to my 98.  in my opinion its probably the best $50 you could put into your gun, esp since you said you are on limited cash.
