I have a Tippmann 98 Custom and I believe I bought way too many upgrades. With my gun not being included, these accessories came up to be 578.99 dollars. With the gun it was 718.99. I just added it all up yesterday and couldn't believe it. I thought I bought a lot less... Anyways, here is a list of stuff I did to my gun.

-------------------------------------------

Upgrades to my Tippy 98...

~~Mods~~ (All modifications have been done by my father and me and turned out great.)

-Elbow wobble fix
-Polished internals
-Tapped R/T hole for single trigger stop (6.00)(screw + tap)
-Trigger slop mod (2.50)(drill bit)
-Sear spring silencer (3.50)(heat shrink tubing)
-Lighter trigger pull
-Receiver blowback vents, 4 of the 5 have been filled with Epoxy and painted.
-LED Light (20.00)(switch + wire + bulb + battery)
-Created opening for LED and single trigger stop so they can be used in conjunction.
-Standard bolt has urethane O-ring reducing blowback gases

~~Accessories~~ (Price + shipping costs)

-Empire Reloader (43.50 + 2.48)
-Black Magic cup seal (13.00 + 3.81)
-Toxic Performance double trigger, silver (20.00 + 7.63)
-J&J 12inch ceramic barrel (32.99 + 9.27)
-NW 8in. Spoon drop forward (42.95 + 7.35)
-Stainless Steel bolt kit (5.00 + 5.00)
-Maddman spring kit (9.95 + 3.50)
-StarFire bolt (10.00)
-Dead On Rocket Cock II (14.00 + 7.63)
-GTA Inline expansion chamber (39.99 + 6.99)
-GTA Flatline barrel system (119.00 + 8.97)

~~Other~~ (Price + shipping cost)
-JT Spectra (45.00)
-New parts to replace the old ones (44.75)
-20 oz. tank with on/off, anti-siphon removed afterward (24.99 + 7.99)
-Four inch air hose (6.00 + 3.81)
-More new parts (16.69)
-200 black orings (1.98 + 5.01)
-40 urethane orings (6.00 + 4.50)
-Squeggee kit (9.99 + 3.25)
-VL Proflex Squeegee (2.99 + 2.48)
-90 Degree Nickel Swivel (5.95 + 2.48)
-System X Loader Cover-Red (10.99 + 2.48)
-------------------------------------------

I probably spent 25 hours working on this. I was either doing mods or trying to fix whatever wasn't working (valve leaks and double firing). I used the gun in three games so there is relatively no wear. I'm thinking I should sell that on eBay and and use that money to buy this. I'll still have cash left over. I wish I bought this in the first place. I could have saved 300 bucks. I'm sure I'll fire up some newbies with the LED mod.

Here are the questions that I had in mind for this post...
I have a drop forward that I'm going to keep and use on the A-5. This is a list of some of the stuff I'd like to know if it's compatible with the A-5...
-J&J 12in. Ceramic barrel made for 98 Custom
-Toxic Performance double trigger for my 98 custom. Do they both use the same kind of trigger?
-Maddman spring kit. Maybe you've heard of it? Will the drive springs in that work in the A-5?
-How about the StarFire bolt?
-Black Magic cup seal?

Keep in mind that I want to use these with the Egrip.

I'm going to sell the gun on eBay and the Flatline seperately on eBay. About how much do you think I should ask for the gun and upgrades?(Excluding the drop, Flatline, StarFire bolt, Black magic cup seal, and Maddmann springs if they work.) I have a brand new sear and rear bolt. There are no leaks. I'll probably throw in a mask and 120z. tank so the person can have a starter kit. All the original parts would be included. I think I should sell it around 450-500. What do you think? I went crazy buying these upgrades and forgot that I need to buy my father's truck. That is the reason I need the extra money.

Thank you, Mike.

EDIT: How does the Cyclone deal with cheap paintballs? The ones I have in mind are Zap Rec series. I like those the most.

The gun works great but like I said, I spent too much money. I want an A5 with an Egrip and that should be the only thing I'll ever get for it. It's probably 3 pounds without the tank. If I get the A5, I'm only going to do some free mods, I've had enough of buying upgrades. My 98 Custom shoots awesome. The double trigger lightens the pull a lot and the medium strength maddman spring makes that even lighter. I need to get some of that money back so I can buy my father's truck. Having a car is more important than a fancy paintball gun to me. How much do ya'll think I should put my gun up for?(on eBay)

I don't know. This seems lind of pricey for a beginner. Maybe a rich little kid would buy it. I'm going to include the mask and tank so I can put under the listing "Everything you need to play!".

So about 560 bucks. Then I'll sell the Flatline in another auction. I think I'll get more money in the long-run if I do that. If I sell it for 560 and then the Flatline for 90(it has only been used once), I'll have about 300 extra bucks. Sounds good to me. If you were buying it on eBay, how much would YOU spend?

Thqt proce sounds good. If I had the money I would buy it if I was against A-%'s for some reason.
I need to find smaller pictures for my profile.

The most important part of a gun is the player behind it.

Why did you add it all up???  Never do that for something you enjoy.  Next thing you'll be adding up how much it really cost to fix up that old car ... or worse, how much money you've spent on your wife (and realizing you could have taken 30 trips to Thailand and gotten a lot more nookie) (c:
