the flatline may add 100 feet to your shot but it costs (in canada) 250$
you can't use your stock sight personall y I think it's to bulky and ugly and I've never used one but I heard it's not very accurate and I've also heard if your gun is moving when you shoot and use the flatline the ball actually makes like a 90 degree turn as it flies. |

Why cant you use your sight?? I have an A-5 and the only reason my sight is a little obscured is because of the hopper... And as far a moving and the ball makes a 90 degree turn, with my A-5 it doesnt happen. As far as the cost I'm sorry about that... I bought mine fore ALOT less here in america....

as long as your velocity is set and the barel is alligned ritethen you shouldent have a prob and if ur moving there is no difference in accuracy also it has a slot for your sights to use them correctly with the curve of the barrel its good if you have it on correctly i prefer a-5 flatline its sooooo simple to install |

no, there was an experiment on some paintballing website, paintball times i think and they measured the velocity of the paintball at different distances, they used a j&j ceramic to compare to the a5 flatline. the results were not what were expected, all the way the flatline had a higher velocity (they didn't change any settings on the gun and they started with the same velocity coming out the barrel) until the paintball on the j&j dropped. |

After this do a search of all forums. Search for the username c98_sniper_dude. Read the first post of the thread he created. Almost all threads are exactially the same. He basically triple posts everything. Edited by Belt #2 |

For the sake of any who may take this thread seriously... The Flatline barrel doesn't slow down paintballs, which ought to be very obvious. If you get a flatline equipped marker chrono'd at 280 fps that's the exact same speed as any other barrel at 280 fps. fps= feet per second... its a measure of velocity...laws of physics. It is true that at the far end of their flight the balls are travelling slower...again physics at work...but paintballs out of all other barrels have already come to a complete stop on the ground. Regarding accuracy, the flatline barrel is not inaccurate. It will be competitive with other barrels at comparable ranges. At longer ranges yes, accuracy suffers. The fact that paintball guns are smooth bore makes pinpoint precision impossible and since distance exaggerates deviation...the longer the range the less accurate the shots will be. And that applies to poor marksmanship as well...shots you might get away with in close will be clean misses at long range. Edited by Betterdays |

i personally got the flatline so id have really accurate shots at 100-150 feet the fact that it can go 200 feet is a bonus but i rarely use it because of the fact that stuff curves ive heard ppl say they can catch a ball from a flatline at 150 feet *ha* i made them test it out at 150 feet all they came away with was a welt on their palm and a painty hand
