Welcome to the forum. If that is what u beleive then good But in paintball your gonna have trouble pulling off a group that tightly there are too many varibles. Plz dont use sniper either use back player. Do a search for sniper and most of the time the person using it gets flamed. Use backplayer its more fitting.

PS ncbbh88 is right. If u would like more of a explanation pm me.

At what range should your shot group be 3" or less according to you? Just figured I'd try to keep this as an inteligent balistics debate before we go tactical.

Ah what the heck. Alienbow13, a backplayer is absolutly nothing like what a "sniper" is attempting to do. If I were to compare it to something used in the military, I'd say a backplayer is more like what a machinegunner does. There's a differance between being a back player and being a player in the back of the field.

What he means by shot group(I'm assuming here based on my sport shooting hobby) is that if you were to take your gun and fire, say, 5 aimed shots at a target at whatever range he meant, they'd fit inside a 3" circle. Groups like this are used to measure te accuracy of a firearm and are usually shot off of sandbags to help eliminate human error. The gun will be capable of a certain degree of accuracy, you will be capable of acheiving another from various shooting positions.

Uuh paintballs are not accurate enough, their are no snipers in paintball.

I know a real sniper from the military, he can shoot a dime at 200 yards, try that with your paintball gun. He says sometimes it takes him 12 hours to line up a shot, thats right he lays in a field for 12 hours waiting for the perfect shot on the most important person in a group, you dont do that in paintball its not effective.

the farthest you can shoot with a barrel without arc is with the flatline and thats around 200 feet   but good luck getting breaks that far away and  also good luck keeping your aim steady enough to hit the same area twice at that distance with a paintball gun.  also the nature of the paintball is to sway since it is not perfectly full the fill can spin creating force that drives the paintball off course  so i belive that you now see that the definition of "sniper" is not useful in paintball     the sheer physics make it close to impossible to know exactly where the ball will go at a long distance
