Remote line

hey, can anyone tell me how if a remote co2 line is good for woodsball? i would think it gets tangled in all the brush and stuff while crawling and stuff but idk. so if ya have a remote tell if it works good.

I had thought a remote would make the gun Quicker in speedball situations , for snap shooting , would make the gun lighter and quicker to bear on the opponent . I dont suppose it would be a hindrance in Woodsball , if you routed the hose so it didnt tangle like Enos suggested

I have played with both in the woods. My entire team plays woodsball with remotes. I do not. I have a coiled remote that sits in my bag and that's where it will stay. It all depends on your style of play. If you spend some time low crawling or creeping into position, it will snag up, it happened so much at TWC 2003 that I took it off at my first opportunity. Not a big problem if your standing up, but it does get tangled sometimes. Enough that I took it off. It's just my humble opinion. Like I said my entire team, except me, play with remotes, they like them and don't have problems, but they don't play or move through the woods like I do. If you can borrow one,I would get out and try it by just moving through a wooded area. About putting it up your sleeve, most players, when using a remote have their bottles placed in the small of their back on their harness. To bring the line up your sleeve, you would have to go down under your shirt with the line, bring it up under your shirt, and go up your sleeve. Every time you would extend the line by repositioning your marker your shirt would slide up in the back. I don't think I would recommend it.

Im currently using a remote line fer my setup and Im strictly fer woodsball, Ive never experienced my remote line gettin tangled up on anything but, its also depends on where the tank is located and how thick of a wooded area you play in...so, if you want to use a remote line, you have 2 choices of remote lines....1 is a coiled remote (which I have) and the other is a steel braided hose similair to the hose on the Tippmanns and as fer it being placed under the shirt, I wouldnt recommend it, it would feel so uncomfortable against the skin and the only way you would feel comfortable bout using a remote line is to either go get one or barrow one from someone you know that is using one.

after a while carrying the tank in ur pack restricts movement due to the weight. i used a remote and i got tired of losing my energy after a sprint with a 20oz or my 45/4500. for me its easier to focus the weight just in my hand. i think a remote is kinda pointless. buuut, when i did use mine (which was a coiled remote) i never had any snags or getting the remote tangled. BUT, if u connect the remote to the gun and tank when its twisted.....its gets annoying cause it blocks u from moving ur gun. so when u connect one, make sure the hose is straight.

I've used my remote coil for a long time....it has many pros and few cons....it will: make your gun lighter, easier to tuck into, more gas efficient and consistant(it will act somewhat like an expansion chamber. I still use a regular Ex. Chamber just in case.) Also, if you keep your tank secure rightside up, vertically, it will prevent any liquid co2 from entering the gun. The only con I can think of is that you can't just set your gun down and walk away. You have to remove your entire pack....but that cannot be too much of a hassle. But to answer your Q. Remote coils will not get tangled easily. Mine has never gotten in my way before. Now steel braided straight remote lines I'm not so sure about. But I've never used a straight one before so I dunno. Anyways, a remote coil would be a very good investment. All of the pros would more than wipe out all, if any cons.
