Computer tech help

ok, so I was on my other computer. I downloaded the windws 2000 update or the atleast the last one there was. When it was done installing it said I needed to restart it like. So I did. I come back down find out that the computer wont restart. It gets to the Windows 2000 logo page, little bar loads all the way, and then it restarts itself. It keeps repeating. I tried safe mode and it just freezes. I tried last successful configuration or something and it just restarts still. Any ideas on what to do?
