Okay, here's the deal. Our Boy Scout Troop (yeah, i bet you're thinking it's lame, but this trip is awesome) goes to Florida every couple of years to sail in the Keys. Last time was sweet. We did some spear fishing (almost got bit by 3 8-foot sharks last time, but that's another story), swimming, shark fishing, etc... plus, we stopped in Key West which was pretty cool.

Anyways, we were supposed to set sail this morning, but while we were chillin' in Cocoa Beach, the base called us and cancelled. Consequently, we shot back to Pittsburgh in 2 days. From what I hear, Key West and the surrounding area didn't even get hurricane damage.

I'm pretty mad because that trip would have been sweet and all the cool guys are going to college next year. Unfortunately, I could go next year, but it would be with all the dumb kids.

And what's even worse is the fact that we ran from a hurricane named "Bonnie." I'd feel a little better if it was intimidating, like "Hurricane Excalibur".

If it had been just Bonnie, we could have stayed, but Charlie was messing up the other half. I think there should be some sort of penalty for two hurricanes at a time. That's like opening a second gallon of milk before the other is finished...

Gah...

Yes, having your house flattened is a lot of fun.

Heck, try living in Florida. You think it's bad having your trip interrupted... we have had EVERYTHING interrupted. The state went all to pieces over this storm.

Is God real? You'll find out when you die.

Okay, I don't have a clever signature zinger. So sue me.

My boss (who was also on the trip) told me that there were billions of dollars of damage across FL. He also said that RV parks such as the ones we were tenting in were destroyed. If we had waited 1 more day to head back north, we would have been caught in that mess.

There is literally billions of dollars in damage from the south-west coast all the way up to Orlando.

It was a big storm.

Well it was just as bad for me. Last week I went to SC for vacation then had to leave 8:00 last night because of a mandatory evacuation. We get on the road and everything is bumber to bumper and is not moving at all. To make things worse I had to take a poopy and I was in the middle od some hill billy hick town in SC with no rest stops. Well we finally came to a rest stop and I got to go.We get back on the road things are finally starting to move. We ride for hours until about 3 in the moring. Everything is booked for NC to Virginia. I still have the poops and this is turning out to be one big nightmare. After a living hell I got home 8:00 this morning. All I can say is Im glad its over.
(I'm a nob with no clue about almost anything...)
