What would you guys say would be a better bolt for my 98 custom?  the starfire bolt or the hyperstar bolt?

The only aftermarket bolt worth getting is the PB/DOP Pro-Seal and the JCS Red Hot. And neither really do that much. They're more like finishing touches that neccesities.

why do you want to upgrade your bolt what is the point of upgradeing you bolt?

The difference is that the hyperstar and venturi bolts are worse.

i know that you don't need a new bolt but the stock one is kinda cheap plastic and i don't know about the hyperstar bolt but the starfire bolt is delrin.  so you wouldn't have to oil it and it is supposed to reduce ball chops.

You still have to oil the starfire. It still has an o-ring on it. Maybe try the Shocktech delrin bolt for the 98. That might be nice. But again, hyperstar/venturi/starfire bolts reduce performance. There's no reason to get them unless you like chopping paint and killing your accuracy and consistancy.

sum people claim that the bolt upgrades improves accuracy and reduces ball breakage?
woulndt it cup the ball to do sumthing better?
